Daria Portillo is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working in Glendale. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Literature with a Creative Writing Concentration from UC Santa Cruz. She earned a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from New College of California with a Feminist Clinical Emphasis. She interned as an elementary school counselor through University of San Francisco Center For Child and Family Development. In addition, she treated adults and couples at New Perspectives Center for Counseling using a Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach. At Family Service Agency, she worked as a preschool mental health consultant.
Daria Portillo sees individuals and couples and families in her private practice and guides them through difficult life transitions. She empowers people to find their voice when they feel scared or stifled by their past. She motivates people to express with their needs and emotions so they can feel free to relate to others in an authentic way.
Daria Portillo is partially trained in EMDR, an evidence-based practice that helps people process and resolve trauma.
